Vision: Seeing Life God's Way

DAY 1 OF 5

God Has a VISION for You!

God chose you. Yes, YOU!

He placed you on the earth at this exact time and place because he has a vision for your life that he created just for you. This vision is part of a vast Kingdom plan, and he has extended the invitation to you.

You can say no. You can go on living your life.

But if you want to be somewhere different next month, next year, or ten years from now, it's time to catch his vision and run with it.

You cannot keep doing the same things you are doing now and expect to end up somewhere different. You have to get intentional about going somewhere other than where you are currently headed.

No Pressure

We get to participate in God's grand plan. We are meant to walk out a calling that points people to Jesus. That doesn't mean we all have to become pastors or missionaries. You have a purpose that God designed for you long before you entered the earth.

Let me take some of the pressure off. Ephesians 2:10 says For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Emphasis mine.) This is fantastic news! Everything we are supposed to complete on this earth has been designed for us to step into before we were even born.

Our part is saying yes to the vision and taking each step God lays out for us; God's part is everything else.

Whew! That helps when we start getting overwhelmed or think we must control all the pieces. That's not our job.

Over the next few days, you will be walking through discovering God's vision--his view--for you. Whatever your wildest dreams for your life have been up to this point, be ready to have your mind blown. He has bigger, better, and more amazing plans for you than you could have ever imagined.

Don't forget: God chose YOU!

Questions: What are you passionate about? What are you gifted in? What do you dream about doing? Answering these questions may take you closer to understanding what God has for you. He made you for a specific purpose--that means those passions, gifts, and dreams were put in you to accomplish what he has for you.

Prayer: Father, help me to see the world through your lens of compassion, kindness, and mercy. Please help me understand that my calling is from you; therefore, I trust that you have given me what I need to accomplish it. Thank you for creating me exactly like this--I am ready to chase the vision you have for me!
