How to Be Certain That My Life Is a Blessing?Sample
Walk in the Spirit!
We want God to use us to be a blessing to others. How do we begin? By making a commitment. Paul commands the Galatians to “Walk in the Spirit…”. This is a vital choice that we must make. The desires of the Spirit and flesh will always be at loggerheads. They do not overlap. The Spirit wants to be nourished and satisfied whereas the flesh is indulgent and self-serving, it is temporary. Taking this decision is vital as if we don’t, we will constantly be frustrated by the back and forth of the Spirit vs flesh. They do not work together, they do not gel. What the flesh wants, the Spirit cringes.
Our body is like a machine. Whatever we feed it, it develops an appetite for. If we keep feeding our body sugar, it craves it even more. Similarly, if we don’t feed it, it begins to lose the appetite for that. You cannot desire to walk in the Spirit, you cannot desire to see God move in your life if you are a carnal, physical, fleshly being. God has made you alive to His Spirit. He has given you access to a better life, to a higher power. We have access to the Lord of Hosts while we are on earth.
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in his wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of his glory and grace”
Turn your eyes upon Jesus
