1 Johnნიმუში

These five short verses remind us of just how amazing the Gospel - the good news of Jesus - really is. We see that the Gospel is not just the hope of Heaven one day but is also the hope we can have today. These verses say that God is light. He is full of grace, truth, and righteousness. There is no sin, wickedness, or imperfection in him. And that God, because of his character and love for us, offers a life of LIGHT. So what do we have to do to receive that life? Admit our need for Him. When we confess our sins and admit our need for God, he shows up and brings light with Him.
Think about when you turn a lamp on in a dark room. It isn't a competition between light and darkness; light automatically wins just from being present. That is life with Jesus. Your past doesn't win, anxiety doesn't win, grief doesn't win, hopelessness doesn't win, pain doesn't win, sorrow doesn't win, depression doesn't win, addiction doesn't win. Jesus wins.
Prayer Points
- Thank God fresh today for the amazing gift of salvation through Jesus.
- Admit your need for him.
- Declare the victory in your life because of Jesus.
