Commitment

DAY 2 OF 3

Making a commitment does not mean that no storms will come up along the way. In fact, it probably means that they are more likely to. But when storms arise, we can look to our source of strength, Jesus, for the sustenance to make it through.

When our commitments lead us into storms, we have to put three principles to work: rejoice, pray, and trust. And we have to speak the Word of God into our situation. Jesus used the Word on Satan, and he had to flee (Matthew 4:11). If the One who wrote the Word found it necessary to use the Word, how much more should you and I put the Word to work in our own lives?

Never forget that the God who led you into this challenge is the same God who has all the power necessary to quiet the storm. He is the resurrected Son of God, and He can meet all of your needs according to His riches in glory.

What Scripture passages are particularly important to you in this season of your life?

About this Plan

Commitment

Many Christians are content with talking about their allegiance to Christ, but fewer show evidence of true commitment. Real commitment involves more than mere words. It is about obedience, discipline, and determination. It will not only help us understand our purpose in life but also help see us through its storms and struggles. Let bestselling author Lois Evans guide you into a deeper level of commitment to Christ.
