Obedience

DAY 3 OF 3

One of the problems we have with obedience is that we really don’t trust God. Ask yourself: is the Lord your Shepherd? Then count on Him to take care of you. He will meet all of your needs (Psalm 23).

Because the Lord is your Shepherd, you don’t have to provide for your financial needs by taking money that doesn’t belong to you.

Because the Lord is your Shepherd, you don’t have to provide for your love needs by stealing another person’s spouse.

Because the Lord is your Shepherd, you don’t have to provide for your emotional needs by killing your pain with alcohol or drugs.

Because the Lord is your Shepherd, you don’t have to provide for your material needs by running up huge debts that you can’t handle.

God is trustworthy and holy. He will take care of you in righteous ways. He will give you more than you could ask or think in ways that are in accordance with His Word.

How do my actions demonstrate my level of trust in God?
