Precious Moments That Count For Eternityნიმუში

A New Lease of Life
Even as I write, there is someone in jail on death row, condemned to die, two days away from being hung. Another mercy petition has been filed with the government as the whole country awaits a final judgement.
In the Gospel of John, we read of a woman caught in the act of adultery. They brought her to Jesus to test Him, saying, that she should be stoned to death according to Moses’ law. Jesus didn’t say a word but stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger. Then He looked up at them and said, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first. "And Jesus went back to writing on the ground. One by one, people began to get convicted and walked away. Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more” (NLT).
This passage of Scripture often brings tears to my eyes. The act of adultery is committed by two people, but only the woman was condemned. She faced death until Jesus intervened. What a hero our God is!
Are you constantly being put down by others, accused and rejected? You can look to my hero and champion, Jesus Christ! He is here for you. He will never reject you or condemn you. But when He has lifted you up and set you free, follow Him and lift up others who need help too.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I really admire You, love You and thank You for setting a condemned woman free. And Lord, I know that whoever is in a similar situation and calls You for help, You will answer them too. Thanks again. Amen.
