Don’t Hide Who You Are

Why do we put so much emphasis on being liked when Jesus never did?

The Bible tells us that Jesus wasn’t always liked. He had to go through shame and rejection because of:

- Who He was
- What He stood for
- What He said and did

Despite being liked or disliked, Jesus did not hide who He was.

I often have to remind myself that it doesn’t matter if people think I’m weird for believing in Jesus or having a different opinion—a rather unpopular opinion—about some issues.

I have to be me: a daughter of the Most High King.

Let's apply that to business.

The way you handle your business is up to you.

The world can think their part about it, but YOU are the one managing the tasks, running the show, and assigning a brand and set of values to your business.

Do you agree with your way of doing business?
Can you live out who you are in your business?

You should.

You are a unique selling point.

Don’t hide who you are because of fear of other people’s thoughts—you can’t work with everyone anyways. Instead, embrace the person God destined you to be. And run your business like it.

Today’s Prayer

Dear God,

You have known me from the beginning. You knitted me together in my mother’s womb and made me in Your image. Now, I would like to reflect that in my business. Please, Lord, show me what needs improvement. Help me to be an example, and diminish any fear or shame I have about being unliked.

In Jesus’ name,
