If you want to maximize the meaning of this Christmas season, refocus your heart and life on missions. God wants you to adjust and adapt to His larger purposes in coming to this world. Christmas is about His gift to all the peoples of the world. If you miss this, you will be trapped in a mysterious nostalgia, with a minimized version of the holiday.

Let these truths from God’s word change the focus and structure of your Christmas celebration.

Let them change your values, your perspective, your character, your generosity, and your selfishness. Don’t spend another Christmas season distracted by the trivial, but instead be intentional to dwell on the miraculous reality that God became man in order to bring peace and salvation to the world.
