Engaging Heaven Today for WomenSample
Building Your Legacy
Paul included in his letter to Timothy, “I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also” (2 Timothy 1:5 NKJV). We are each leaving behind a legacy. What kind of legacy are you leaving? A legacy or heritage is normally thought of as the amount of money or material worth you leave behind, but that’s only a very small part of it. The greatest thing you can leave behind for your kids or your loved ones is your spiritual legacy. Leave behind a heritage of loving God and knowing God. You’re the daughter of God. And whether you realize it or not, whether you have kids or not, you’re building a spiritual legacy. When you die, nobody is going to wonder how much your 401(k) was. Did you live a life that mattered? Are people going to remember you for the things you can’t see?
What legacy is your life writing?
