Don’t Feed Greed

DAY 5 OF 9

Do good things and share, even when it’s hard to do.

The first church was made up of people who loved others the way Jesus does. Everyone shared and sold what they had. You know why? They wanted to make sure everyone had what they needed! They cared for each other so well that other people could tell they loved Jesus and followed Him.

Can you imagine selling your things or giving up something important so a friend—or even a stranger—could have it instead? That’s hard! But God tells us in the Bible to do it. When we give and do good, others can see we follow Jesus.

Talk It Over: What are some examples of how you can do good and share with those in need? Who do you know who needs something? What sacrifices can you make to help them out?

About this Plan

Don’t Feed Greed

Greed is selfish and stingy. God’s not like that! He gave the most generous gift ever: His Son, Jesus. He wants you to be generous, too! For Parents: Your child will have a deeper understanding of each day’s reading and questions if you complete this Bible Plan with them. This plan includes several games to play for verse memorization. You may want to supervise use of materials.
