The Road of Blessing: Hope in the Lord
Sanctification is the process by which a person becomes holy, more like God. The apostle Peter quoted the Old Testament when he wrote, “But just as he who calls you is holy, be holy in all you do; for it is written: be holy, because I am holy” (1 Peter 1:15–16). Holiness has been God’s goal for mankind since Adam and Eve left the Garden. The process of sanctification begins at salvation and is completed the moment we step into Eternity. Each day is an opportunity to grow spiritually and strengthen our love for God and others. Praise is a good place to begin. We will want to be more like God when we remember the greatness of God. Psalm 33 is a song of praise for who God is, what God can do, and why we can live each day with great hope in God’s perfect purpose for our world.
For sanctification: Praise God throughout the day for what he has done and is doing. Trust his greatness and place your hope in his perfect love and will for the future.
