Healing in the Heartbreak

DAY 3 OF 3

There will eventually be a time when you may be thankful for the hurt. Sometimes, it's not until we truly fall apart, that we realize how much God can utilize our pain to rebuild us back into the woman that he has created us to be. As God's people, we are not meant to be cold-hearted, bitter, or angry. We are not meant to build walls out of fear or pain. God will show you how to forgive the person that has hurt you or broke your heart. Surrender your feelings to God. He will show you how to let go and forgive.

If you are currently in the midst of heartbreak and you need a word of hope, strength, and encouragement. Here it is. Every Heartbreak Can Be Healed. God's word reassures us:

Psalms 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

However, we cannot short-change the process. There are stages of the suffering that have to be walked through to get to a place of true healing. There must be a season of grief and mourning. We can’t heal without it. But we also can’t stay there.

Stages of Grief/Heartbreak & How To Combat It With Scripture:

Denial: Be honest with yourself. (Proverbs 3:5)

Anger: In the midst of your anger, be honest with God. (1 John 1:9)

Bargaining: Ask for God to help you. (Isaiah 41:13)

Acceptance: Be open to receiving God's Help. (Psalm 91:14-15)

Stages of Hope & How To Encourage It With Scripture:

Regrouping: Have Faith. (Matthew 21:22)

Deadening: Have Hope. (Philippians 1:6)

Doubting: Accept God's Grace. ( 2 Corinthians 12:9)

Digging: Worship In Love. ( Psalm 150:6)

Prayer For A Broken Heart:

Lord, I thank you for the peace that you've given me. I hold on to my hope in You and the assurance that what I pray for is already done in the name of Jesus. In Psalm 84:11 your word promises me that “no good thing does He withhold from those that walk uprightly”. I will wait upon You for Your definition of the “good thing” You will not withhold from me. I pray against my broken heart, bitterness, depression, and anxiety. Mend my heart and heal all of my wounds. I cast every one of my burdens onto You because I know You will sustain me. You will never allow the righteous to be moved, so Lord I pray that you allow me to remain steadfast in You. May you plant my feet with Your Word, so that I can be made whole and no longer feel broken. I release it all to you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
