An Angel Encounter!Sample

I FELT A PRESENCE

“For He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”

Experiencing a recent encounter, made me pause and look back over not only my life but over things that had happened to a couple of friends.

I consider myself to be in pretty good physical shape (other than tremors). My bones are strong, and I am very agile for my age group, taking many walks.

I was with my daughter and after shopping, we stopped for a shake. Because we spotted a dumpster near us, it made sense to rid of the empty trash, so I volunteered to remove them from the car. The opened car door blocked my sight of an eavestrough extension. As I walked toward the dumpster, I suddenly tripped and was propelled forward, stumbling into a fall. My heart began racing and in that split second, I knew I was going to be injured. I tried my best to regain balance, but I was too far gone when suddenly I felt this weight on my chest and it felt as if I was arching my back, though I knew I wasn’t. Instantly, my body began to balance itself, and just as I approached the dumpster, I regained balance and never fell.

I threw the cups away and noticed in the action one of the straws fell to the ground, As I bent over to pick it up and discard it, I saw what caused the mishap and I also noticed the jagged metal eavestrough that cut the top of my foot.

Pavement is not like goose down. Without God's assistance, there is no doubt I would have been seriously injured had I fallen. My first reaction before getting into the car was to raise both hands toward heaven and thank Jesus more than once!

Every morning I pray that God watch over and protect me and He sure came through!
