The Growing Faith

DAY 5 OF 5

LIVE TO THE MAXIMUM

Rice husk is a small part of the rice plant. It receives little attention and is thrown away – even considered as waste that causes air pollution, interferes with rice growth, reduces the amount of production, and causes various other problems. We have no idea that husk is a natural resource that produces a natural heat source. We can use rice husks as material for incubating duck eggs (up to 10,000 eggs within 28 days) through one's creative power. That is the result that exceeds the work of egg incubators made by other countries.

So, how about us? As believers, our lives should bring impact and blessings to the outside world. We can do it by maximizing, developing, and exploring all the things within us, such as ideas, potential, abilities, talents, and gifts the Lord has entrusted to us. God gives each of us at least one talent. We may think that our talents are not that significant compared to others, but when we are faithful and obedient to do them, God Himself will increase and widen our capacities and abilities for His glory.

Therefore, let's develop the abilities that God has given us to empower everything around us, which may be useless, into something useful.

Today’s devotional

1. How is your life right now? Have you made an impact on the people around you?

2. What kind of impact do you have on the people around you? Do you have a positive or negative impact on them?

Today’s action

Make a list of things that prevent you from living your life to the fullest before the Lord and becoming a blessing to other people around you.
