You Are a Joint That Supplies

We’re living in a critical hour and Jesus needs all of us! He made every believer to be a joint in His Body with a unique and necessary supply to give toward the fulfillment of God’s plan. That means it takes every member of the Body of Christ to move the plan of God forward and to usher in the coming of Jesus.

And that includes you!

When we do our share and bring our supply, God’s power comes in, and He causes growth in the Body through “the edifying of itself in love” (Ephesians 4:16). And if we agree with the Holy Spirit and do our part, He is so powerful that He can take the shyest and most fearful of us and cause us to become bold and powerful for Him.

I enjoy listening to Terri Savelle Foy because she did it wrong for many years, hiding her giftings and doing nothing with them. But then God began to speak to her — and I’m so thankful He did! Terri began to give out from her rich supply of encouragement and insight. Now I listen to her often — and when I do, I always receive fresh encouragement to push forward.

One day I was listening to Terri, and she asked her audience the question: “What if you don’t step forward? Whose lives will fail to be impacted for Christ?” And I thought of Terri’s own example. What if she hadn’t stepped forward? How many lives would have fallen by the wayside through negative “self-talk” and discouragement? And then I asked myself, Who would have encouraged ME when I so desperately needed it if Terri had said no to the Lord?

I also remember asking myself the question: Who is waiting for YOU to get yourself together and give from YOUR supply, Denise?

And now I ask you, my reader: Who is waiting for you? And what is that vital supply inside you that someone is waiting for? That’s a question that can stir your spirit to seek God till you begin to live out the answer!

Think about someone who has impacted your life. How has that person influenced you by saying “yes” to God and his or her giftings? Take some time to seek God and ask Him what the supply is within you that will impact others and further the Kingdom of God.
