Pray & Connect: Praying the Psalms for Your Childrenნიმუში

Scripture: Read Psalm 8 for the full context of this passage.
“Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens.” Psalm 8:1
In the midst of life’s daily tasks, it’s easy to forget to praise and thank God. The book of Psalms reminds me to pause and praise our Heavenly Father who hangs the moon and the stars and has crowned us with His glory. Praise reminds our hearts that our problems aren’t bigger than God.
When your child is feeling overwhelmed, fearful or lonely point them to the Psalms to discover who God is and what He’s done.
Pray: Lord, we declare your goodness and mercy over us. Oh Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth and your glory above the heavens. I ask that {your child's name} would have eyes to recognize your power and declare your glory. Amen
Connect: Let’s help our children praise God. The verse says, “how majestic is your name.” Encourage your children to think about all the wonderful names and characteristics of God. Here are a few: the God who sees, Mighty Warrior, Healer, Wise, our Shepherd, and Redeemer. Then spend some time thanking God for who He is.
