Love God Greatly: You Are ForgivenSample

Love God Greatly: You Are Forgiven

DAY 4 OF 54

SOAP – Jeremiah 17:9
We deceive ourselves when we believe we can conquer sin without God. The great power of sin is that it is deceptive. Sin lies within us until we are tested. We believe we have things under control. Until we truly understand how wicked and offensive even the ‘smallest’ of sins is to God, we will never enlist the Holy Spirit to fight against the sin in ourselves and in our lives. The Christian life requires daily surrender to God to guard against the deception of sin.

Where are you in danger of being deceived? Maybe you find yourself compromising with the beliefs of today’s culture. Maybe you find yourself believing that your religious habits are keeping you in ‘good standing’ with God. Maybe you find yourself doubting your salvation and the assurance that your sin has been redeemed. Cling to God and His Word to guard against spiritual deception.

Father God, I thank You for Your protection from Satan and his deception. Protect and guard my heart and mind from any thoughts that contradict Your Word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
