DAY 4 OF 6

I Cannot Hide My Love

As you begin to grasp and understand God's love, it changes you. You want to be reminded on a daily basis.

It may be your story or the story of a close family member or friend. It is the narrative of seeing Jesus change your life and you begin to wonder if others see it too. The changes may be gradual or dramatic. God is at work and you are different. But how do you explain it to others who remember the "old you?" For Kelly, it was a song that got her attention and reminded her that God changed her life.

The phrase "I cannot hide my love" is a statement that helped Kelly tell her story with stickers on her snowboard. But did you catch a key point about what she said? The sticker was more of a reminder to herself of God's love rather than a statement to others. In the Old Testament, as the Israelites were about to cross into the promised land, God had them build a memorial. The stones were to be a reminder of all God had done for them to get them to that point. For Peter in the New Testament, Jesus asked him about his loyalty. Peter replied, "Where else would we go?" The love of Jesus is all around you. Keep your eyes open to see it.

Application Questions:

  • What is it for you that is a constant reminder of God's love and work in your life?
  • Take a moment to write down 12 "memorial stones" of God's faithfulness to you.

About this Plan

Olympic Inspiration

Kelly Clark is a five-time Olympian and gold medalist. She is one of the world's most decorated female snowboarders. A comment from a competitor started her on a faith journey. Looking back, she says, "God had it all planned out, and I was along for the ride." This six-day devotional takes you into her story and the way God worked. It'll inspire your journey with our personal God.
