Cross Over Into Your Destiny

DAY 7 OF 14

Are you afraid of giants?

Are you intimidated by other people? Are you afraid of rejection? Are you insecure about your looks or talents? Would you like to become more confident and courageous? I hope you answered yes to these questions because I’m about to share with you a few personal secrets that helped me cross over into my destiny. Are you ready?

  1. You can’t “cross over” until you’ve crossed over. Wow! This sounds like a riddle, but it’s actually so true. Your destination will not change until you change. Focus on personal and spiritual growth and health.
  2. You’ve got to face your giants when you cross over: “‘No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.’” (Joshua 1:5, NIV) God promised Joshua that no person would be able to stand in his way. In other words, Joshua was told he would defeat the same giants that had previously intimidated an entire nation. There is no progress without a battle.
  3. You must renounce the fear of people. The Bible says, “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.” (Proverbs 29:25, NIV) Pleasing people will cause you to remain in the desert. Codependency will cause you to live in the bad decisions of others. Enabling will entrench you in fixing others instead of building your new future.
  4. You cannot control others, but you do have the power to influence others. There’s a big difference between influence and feeling responsible for the thoughts, feelings, and actions of others. The Bible reminds us that Jesus lived this truth: “‘If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.’” (Mark 4:23, NIV) The greatest communicator of all time knew that His crowd would misinterpret Him.

Will you make a decision today to cross over into your promised land? Will you face the fears and giants that have kept you bound? You can make choices today that will change your tomorrows, or you can remain the same. You’re born to be a miracle.
