I Choose

DAY 12 OF 12

I Choose God’s Story

We started day one of this Bible Plan talking about the god-like gift of choice. We’ve read personal stories of people who are putting the gift to full use in their lives. They’re choosing purpose, prayer, surrender, power, discipline, love, and the important over popularity, worry, control, perfection, regret, law, and the urgent. What are you doing with God’s risky decision to put free will in your hands?

Maybe like my campus pastor, Ronnie, you’ve decided to do something every week to invest in your kids. Or, maybe you identified with Michael and Lee who overcame law and perfection, and now you’re ready to be awakened by God’s love and the Holy Spirit’s power.

A lot of you felt weighty when you read Audra’s recollection of Abraham surrendering Isaac and then felt your weight lifted when she reminded you how God intervenes and blesses us when we give up control. So many good stories, right? If you submitted your I Choose story, what would it be?

Can I tell you my story? I’m choosing to pray for you. I get to write Bible Plans and other spiritual growth content at Life.Church. During the time you read this, I’ll be in my office, Monday through Friday, developing content to equip and empower people like you. But I won’t just be writing. I’m choosing to set aside time to pray for you as you read this. I set a weekly reminder in my phone so I won’t forget.

I’m praying you’ll hear from the living and available Holy Spirit. I’m praying one particular day in this plan will stop you for a moment and move you toward a new level of power, freedom, and joy in your relationships with people and with Christ. I’m praying for your story, and I’m not at all worried because God writes the best stories.

Pray: God, thank You for leading me to realize the choices I need to make. I pray You would use me to move others to choose to be part of Your story. Amen.

About this Plan

I Choose

Do you ever feel like you’re trapped inside a choose-your-own-adventure book with someone else doing the choosing? Moms are right. Our choices actually do matter—a lot. This Life.Church Bible Plan accompanies Craig Groeschel’s messages into some of the most powerful choices anyone can make. Maybe we can't always pick our own adventures, but we can choose purpose, prayer, surrender, discipline, love, and importance.
