CLEAR THE ROOM
God desires for the "room" to be cleared when we come to Him in prayer.
When we pray, there should be no distractions. Nothing, whether spiritual, physical, or mental should ever hinder your focus on communication with Him.
In Matthew 26:36 (NLT), while in the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus left his disciples saying, “Sit here while I go over there to pray.” What we see is our Savior separating himself from physical distraction so that He could focus on His Father. This story is actually one of the many instances of Jesus withdrawing from company to have time with the Father. Even God-made-flesh needed to carve out time from distraction to speak with God the Father one on one.
The veil was torn so that we could have direct access to God. Allow nothing to restore the veil between you and God. A place without physical distractions or even personal fears will allow for the intimacy that God desires. Clear the room!
Let’s Go Bible!
In Mark 5, Jesus cleared the room before raising the little girl from the dead
In Hebrews 11, we read about how you must clear doubt from your mind when you go to the Lord in prayer. When we approach Him, we must believe in Him.
Reflections:
What do you need to put out or walk away from to clear the room for communication with God?
What has caused you to doubt the power of God?
