Dreams and PlansSample
This Is The Way; Walk In It
I grew up in a Christian environment focused more on punishment than grace.
The focus was on the negative things that would happen when I made the ‘wrong’ plans or had the ‘wrong’ dreams. As a result of this, when I became an adult I very quickly found myself incapable of making decisions and plans. In fact, at one point when someone asked me what my dreams were I told them, in complete honesty, that I didn’t have any. I didn’t allow myself to dream because what if I walked the wrong path? What if my dream wasn’t aligned with God’s heart? What if I turned away from Him, just like the children of Israel did so many times before?
I was stuck and afraid my dreams would take me far from God. I was waiting for Him to tell me what to do and how to do it. I didn’t understand that God wanted to walk closely with me as I explored the dreams and plans of my future, that this was, in fact, His joy and delight. Not only was I missing out on life, I was also missing out on what it means to journey with God in relationship. There wasn’t a ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ plan – just a commitment by the creator of the universe to walk the journey of life together.
This verse reassures us all that when we dream our dreams and make our plans, we don’t have to be afraid. We can always count on God to be walking with us on that journey, gently guiding our footsteps to walk in sync with his own.

About this Plan
Take time to reflect on the dreams God has written on your heart and seek Him in those dreams. Time to pause, reflect and realign your heart with the plans of our Heavenly Father who dreams for you, who directs your path, who walks beside you all to see His perfect plan worked out through your life – to bring Him glory and shine His light to those around you.
