Alive

DAY 1 OF 3

It’s A New Day

Today is a new day where we can choose to be grateful to simply be alive. God has created you and because of Him, you are here living this day. It is a day we should not take for granted but instead live purposefully, understanding that there is life in Jesus. Can you take a moment and just ponder the small idea that He created you for today? Tomorrow is not promised, but today you are alive. This day belongs to God, so let’s be glad in it.

Many of us are going through tough times. You may feel like it is impossible to be grateful for today. Maybe you feel defeated and find no joy in being alive. But let me encourage you with a promise God has over your life. His Word tells us His anger is for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime. Although we may find ourselves in sadness, joy comes in the morning. This is God’s promise over your life. Hold on a bit longer. Trust God that He is going to bring to you a new day and a new season. Whether today you are dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, or anything that is making it difficult to get out of bed, trust that God has not forsaken you. He is living this season with you. You are not alone. Therefore, continue doing your part, and know that God will do His.

Some things are out of our control. We have to learn to let go. As a matter of fact, trying to control the uncontrollable can take us to an even unhealthier, rock-bottom state because we are trying to hold on to something that we actually need to be letting go of. Can you surrender it all and give Him the control?

God loves you so much and is for you. Perhaps today all you need to dwell on is that God is love. Trust in His love, a love so great that He is mindful of your today. He is not only love but the giver of peace. When your mind is filled with stress and worries, God is here to love you and fill you with peace of mind. Stay faithful and focused on Him. His Word says that He gives perfect peace whose mind and faith are in Him. He is the rock, our foundation, and our source of peace.
