DAY 19 OF 20

What is a selfless thing someone has done for you? Think of a moment in your life where someone saw you and cared about you. Maybe someone gave you an umbrella when it was raining, or wrote you a kind note when they were thinking about you, or gave up their seat for you. When people in our lives treat us with selflessness, it usually causes us to notice. Maybe it even inspires you to be selfless toward others.

If we claim to follow and believe in Jesus, should be living selflessly. Paul, the writer of the Bible verse, is challenging Christians in Rome to live selfless lives like Jesus. To be honest, this is not an easy way to live. In fact, it challenges who we are as humans. What does it look like for you to live selflessly?

How might living this way impact the lives of others? How would living selflessly transform you into the person God wants you to be?

About this Plan

Over time, even the smallest habits can impact your life. So what are the small things you do every day that either draw you closer to God or keep you at a distance? In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll explore these four spiritual habits: spending time with God, spending time with others in community, using our gifts to serve, and sharing our stories of faith.
