God is the one who fights for you

Today’s Word: He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” (2 Chronicles 20:15)

We’ve all been through struggles. When we are in the middle of one of them – which can be in financial, family, professional life or in any other area – there is always greater emotional strain, as adversities try to suck our energy. 

How often, because we are angry or perplexed, do we even pour out on people close to us the nervousness caused by this feeling of helplessness, worry and frustration?

In many moments, we may feel compelled to make wrong decisions and say what we should not. We are also driven to feed wrong thoughts and feelings because of the pressure we’re under.

Maybe you’re feeling this in the middle of a chaotic situation right now. All this is part of a great strategy of the enemy to steal your trust in the promises of God’s Word and take away your peace.

Now, pay attention: God, who loves you and knows you deeply, says that He himself would fight for you, personally assuming your battle.

So truly put yourself in the hands of your heavenly Father, who fights and wins every battle for you! Your part is not to be impressed by the great multitude of problems that come against you, but to believe and rest in Him.

So get up right now and don’t accept the anxiety and fear that any situation might be causing you! God wants to balance you internally with His peace, even if, when you look around, you do not see a solution. 

Hand over your situation and rest on the God who takes care of you all the time. He, your Father, is the one who’s going to fight for you! 

Prayer: Father, I know that you love me, so you take care of me. I give up all the worry and weariness of the struggles, for I know that you, Lord, defend me and fight for me. I believe what your Word says about me: I am more than a winner! I declare that I will stand firm in this position! In Jesus name. Amen.
