The Man God SentSample
John, Jesus, and Judgment
John the Baptist was sent by God to tell us that Jesus is the Light (John 1:6–7). John the apostle wrote his Gospel to declare the truth about Jesus Christ. John 3:16 says, “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
God sent Jesus on a rescue mission, not to judge. If you are a Christian, and you keep on messing up, and you’re like, “Oh man, God hates me,” clearly you don’t know the Scriptures. Jesus didn’t come into the world to condemn the world. He didn’t come to judge the world. He loves you. And if you’re an atheist or whatever, not a Christian, and you think, “God hates me. I’ve done too many bad things,” read that verse again: “God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” John continued, “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.” (John 3:17)
Why are you judged? If you die, you will be judged for not believing in God’s Son. I remember someone came up to Jesus and said, “What does God the Father want us to do?” He's like, “Dude, it is easy. Believe in His Son.” They’re like, “What?” God makes it so simple that people don’t know how to deal with it. You don’t have go to a certain church, or read through the Bible a million times, or do all these works for God. Just believe in the Son.
Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross. He came out of eternity to die for you because He loves you. By believing in Jesus, you have forgiveness for sin and gain right standing with God. That’s all you have to do! Then the Holy Spirit starts working in you: to read, to pray, to go to church, and to find out why you're created, which is the best part. You’re not in darkness anymore. All you need to do is believe in the Son. And, you need to know what the Bible says because it tells us what Jesus said, taught, and did.

About this Plan
John the Baptist was the man that God sent to prepare the way for the Messiah. The Gospel of John, written by the Apostle John, introduces us to John the Baptist’s ministry and to Jesus, God’s Son, sent to save people from their sins. This plan, based on John 1, shows God’s desire for our lives and spiritual walk with Him.
