DAY 10 OF 20

We've all felt that sickening feeling in our stomachs when we get our class schedule and realize we don't have a single friend in any of our classes! Wait, it gets worse! Before we know it, we don't have anyone in our lunch period either! Inside, we feel a little alone, knowing we're going to be separated from our friends all day. It totally makes sense, right?! As human beings, we're created with the need to connect with other people.

As Christians, this truth remains. When we commit our lives to Christ, we not only gain a new circle of friends, but God places us in a new family. Regardless of how different we might seem on the outside, Paul reminds us it's what's on the inside that connects us. It doesn't matter where we come from, the color of our skin, the amount of money we have, or how talented we are; a relationship with Jesus reveals the image of God in us all. We can celebrate our differences and learn from them, but the image of God within us will always bring us together . . . if we are humble enough to see it.

What does celebrating our differences look like to you?

About this Plan

Jesus had a lot to say about love, but not everyone loved him. Instead, Jesus’ opponents hated him, attacked him, and saw him as extreme — a radical. And they had a point! The things Jesus taught about loving God and others challenged the status quo. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll look at four ways Jesus invites us to love others according to his revolutionary example.
