Key Themes: Key Topical Themes Of The Bibleნიმუში

Judgment
1st Corinthians is a letter that was written to a seriously messed up church in Corinth. Paul is scolding them for arguing with each other over things that don’t matter. In this chapter, they are arguing over which church leader they prefer. He reminds them that a day of judgment is coming, and they will all be judged for what they did in life. It’s obvious that when we get to heaven, God isn’t going to ask us which preacher we preferred or which denomination we belonged to or what our position was on some controversial subject. He is going to ask us about what we did with what He gave us. Today, let’s focus on doing things God wants us to do rather than arguing about preferences.
