Fatherhood (Part 2)

DAY 1 OF 3

One day fishing for a father and son

In Brooks Adam's diary, there is a note about a very special day for him when he was 8 years old.

He wrote, “Going fishing with dad, the happiest day of my life.”

Over the next 40 years, Brooks kept referring to the events of that day and how that day had a profound impact on his life.

Brooks' father was Charles Francis Adams, Abraham Lincoln's ambassador to the United Kingdom. He also had notes about that day in his diary.

In the book, he wrote, "Going fishing with my son: a day wasted."

Malachi 4:6

“And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

Reflection:

How much time do you currently spend with your children? Did you know that for your children, your company with them is a gift and not a math calculation?

About this Plan

Fatherhood (Part 2)

In the Bible, God assigns fathers to guide their children to fear the Lord and become useful. This task is not an easy task for the fathers. This reflection will help fathers to always remember the holy call from the Lord for their children.
