Opportunity to Encourage
Our God is known as a God of order. There is logic and a perfect plan in all His ways. He first created the world and what man needed and only after that He created Adam and Eve. He always anticipates the needs of His children. In the same way in our lives, He planned in which family we should be born in and what kind of people we should be surrounded by, during our days on earth (friend, manager, colleague, children, etc.).
My company monitors financial markets and controls several banks. It has a strict and very confidential function. The slightest mistake is seen as a major crime. The employees are therefore always serious and limit their conversation to saying ‘hello’ to each other. One day, one of my colleagues learned that she had a serious illness but she had no one to talk to about it. I took this opportunity to encourage her, to motivate her, and to tell her that Jesus loves her. She broke down in tears.
People going through difficulties are waiting for a word of hope and encouragement to boost them. Look for ways to encourage one another. Acknowledge others’ abilities and efforts. If someone feels inadequate, encourage him or her. When someone talks about personal difficulties, do not respond with a ‘gloom and doom’ attitude. Listen with compassion. Say something like, ‘I know this is a tough time for you, but it won’t last. Let me encourage you: God will see you through, and I’m here to help, too’.
Someone said ‘Our lifestyles are the only Bible some people will ever read’. You can become known for your encouraging words. Make your words a fountain of life. Be a positive person. Bring sunshine into the world.
When I started encouraging people God has placed in my life, I realized that gradually, the spirit of shyness that was in me was replaced by boldness. The Spirit of God uprooted my timidity (2 Tim 1:7).
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you…" - Acts 1:8
Father, fill me with Your Spirit so that I can seize every opportunity to convey the right word, to the right person at the right time.

About this Plan
This Bible Plan will teach us to be attentive to small things that can teach us beautiful truths – people around us going through difficulties, the causes of our failures, a bad boss, etc. Opportunities that can be encashed without crushing others are blessed by the Lord. If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door!
