DAY 10 OF 14

The Chosen Ones

Isaiah 42:1a

… He is the one I chose, and I am pleased with him.

Imagine you love playing netball and join the netball club at your school. One day, the school announces that there will be a netball competition and some competent students will be chosen. On the day of player selection, you are anxiously waiting for your name to be called, and the 5th name called is your name! You are chosen to join the netball competition on behalf of your school! How do you feel? You must feel very special!

These verses are what God told Isaiah about Jesus. Jesus is the One whom God chose to be His perfect servant and God is so well pleased with Jesus. God knows that Jesus will never fail or disappoint Him in any way.

Do you know that you and I are also the chosen children of God? Being chosen by  God means you are special in His eyes. He chooses you and me to be His witnesses in this world. He chooses to love you and me. What a privilege we have!

Prayer

Dear God, thank You for choosing me and loving me. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit in me. Amen.
