Move with Prayer: “The Battle Stance”

There is a war waging all around us. It is real. It is a fight for territory and an assault against the soul of all humankind. It is an epic battle of good versus evil. And no one, no matter how young or old, is isolated from the impact of its carnage. 

This battle can be seen in the divisive spirits of politics, media and entertainment. Its aftermath can be felt by the hatred, immorality, rebellion, and selfishness that has permeated our society. 

Being aware of the real battle at hand should be the priority of every Queen on God’s chessboard. It is our responsibility to recognize the influence and power we possess to shift the minds and hearts of those around us so they can come into full submission to God’s higher purposes. We can make our plans and set out to see them accomplished, but if we don’t pray and seek God’s direction, we could find ourselves drifting in an ocean of problems without a sail. 

Every plan should begin and end with prayer. The power of prayer isn’t in the words you utter. It’s not about what you pray or even how you pray. Prayer can be defined as talking to God and is an act of worship that glorifies God and reinforces our need for Him. 

Truth be told, prayer is our fiercest weapon against the enemy. So, I encourage you Queen, make prayer your first battle stance and strategy. The best power move is prayer. Prayer always has us take a positive humble action with an open heart to allow us to commune freely with the heavenly Father. 

On this day, begin to pray for the big and the small things. Before every decision, pray. Before going to work, pray. Before heading to school, pray. Before heading into a meeting, pray. Before responding to someone who offended you, pray. Before accepting a new position or leaving a career, pray. Become a first responder for prayer and make it your first and last response to any and every situation.  

Prayer: Dear God as we begin to take steps in the direction of our purpose, we ask that You give us wisdom, insight and patience. We ask in faith that as Your word promises us, that You will give us wisdom in every small and big decisions as we further step into our purpose. Help us have a desire to pray over our circumstances. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
