DAY 4 OF 4

What if you could meet a younger person who is going through some of the difficult things that you’ve already gone through?

What would you say to them? How could you help them?

There is a level of understanding when it comes to traumatic events that can only be had between two people who have gone through the same event—to truly be able to say “I understand” is a rare opportunity. It has the ability to change a life. It can alter the course of someone going in the wrong direction. Your pain is relatable because it has become your testimony.

But your testimony is not for you.

I believe that one of the many reasons that we’re here is to help those around us. By sharing your testimony with others, you can help them to get through their own obstacles. As believers, our responsibility is to share the Word when we can, and the the truth of God's Word is found within our testimonies.

We can tell them, "If you’re going through resistance, keep going. Remember these times. Remember how you felt, and how you made it through. Because these stories must be told for those who are also going through what you went through."

Loss.

Illness.

Divorce.

Poverty.

These painful times in our lives will lead to stronger times for ourselves and others!

It is an amazing feeling to turn around and look at the mountains that you have climbed, to see all that you have accomplished even in the midst of pain. Your testimony will allow you to look back and smile and, if utilized correctly, your testimony can do the same for others.

There is a reason for the pain. You are not walking this path by accident. You are being molded into what you are supposed to become. Your story is your testimony.

And your testimony is your strength.
