Eve & Mary

DAY 1 OF 4

Have you ever wondered why the enemy tempted Eve first? Perhaps the enemy knew that whatever affected Eve would affect all of humanity. After all, Eve was the woman—the one capable of birthing more humans and the enemy despised having more humans on earth. He still despises us, and the Bible clearly states his mission: to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).

The enemy still hates women and he is fighting hard to ensure the entire human race believes otherwise. He is still in the business of deceit and lies (John 8:44) and he orchestrates all kinds of evil against women in many societies.

Ironically, one of the greatest lies being propagated by the enemy is that God hates women and the Bible is inherently misogynistic. Women in the Bible were judges, disciples, prophetesses, mothers of great influence (See: Judges 4; Romans 16; Luke 1:39-45) and we cannot forget the Proverbs 31 woman. In one instance, God instructed Moses to make it a law that female children could inherit their late father’s properties (Numbers 27:1-11). A woman gave birth to Jesus, the Son of God and a woman was the first to see Jesus after His resurrection (Mark 16:9).

Please take a moment to read and meditate on the scriptures referenced above. If you can, write your thoughts and whatever the Holy Spirit reveals to you.

Do not believe the lies. God wants the best for us, and all His commandments empower us to live a purpose-filled life. God desires that we enjoy true freedom—freedom from shame, comparison, and guilt.

The death and resurrection of Jesus, the seed of the woman, proves God's love for you. It also secured your victory over everything that would ever come against you.

Dear woman, God thinks highly of you.

PS: If you were empowered by today's study, consider sharing this plan with women in your life and talk it over with them. God's truth dispels lies. Join me in sharing the truth with other women.

Day 2

About this Plan

Eve & Mary

In four days, you will gain a deeper understanding of God's love for women. Temi Michael-O shares how Eve's redemption and Mary's Good Friday grief reveal God's love. As you study and meditate on the scriptures referenced in this plan, hope will arise in you and your mind will be trained to recognize the lies of the enemy.
