Bold Faith - Part 2 - SE StudentsSample
Sometimes having bold faith means looking at the situation God has called you to and knowing—even though the odds are against you—God has a plan and is in control. This is the reality David was facing when God placed him in the path of the giant Philistine, Goliath.
David was a small shepherd boy with no battle experience. He was a musician, a poet, and by all accounts, just a simple young man. But God had gone before David, preparing him for one of the most defining moments of his life. As a shepherd, David had encountered many wild beasts that were far bigger and stronger than him, and Goliath was no different. He was just another thing that was bigger and stronger than David. David’s bold faith that God would continue to protect him in the face of bigger and stronger creatures is what prompted him to step forward, take the sling and the stone, and kill Goliath.
Have there been moments for you when the odds of success seem to be so against you it is difficult to push forward? Take a look back at the ways God has prepared you for His Kingdom work. He has not forsaken you once. Why would He start now? He is calling you to ignore the odds and put your Bold Faith in Him.
