God Speaks: EasterSample
Day Five
My child, I am your prince of peace, mighty God and everlasting Father. I am your great redeemer, the lover of your soul. All you need. Child of my heart, come here a while and listen. Be still and know me. Lean close and hear my words. Listen. This is my love song over you. You are a lily of the valley, the bright morning star and hope in my world. You are a light in the dark. Salt in a tasteless world. A sweet fragrance, bringing glory to me through all you do. One look at you and my heart skips. I am undone in your presence, my love. When you are here with me, my heart bursts. My bride, whom I have ransomed. My faithful one, whom I have called. I have given you a new name. You are righteous, holy, redeemed. I have clothed you with kindness. Compassion and gentleness surround you. In humility, you sought me and you found me. You patiently pursued me and discovered the joy of knowing me. I sing songs of love over you. Listen and hear my love for you. Look and see how I adore you. Be still and know me.
Reflect: In what way do you want me to be salt and light?
Prayer: Let me love others as you have loved me, Lord.

About this Plan
The idea that we can hear God speak may seem presumptuous, but throughout the Bible we see God interacting with His creation. If we quiet our racing thoughts and be still for a moment, we can hear Him. Easter is God’s most profound declaration to humanity. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, we get to hear God speak a powerful message of forgiveness and love.
