Prayer: A Powerful Business Strategy

DAY 2 OF 3

Of course, you do not need to go out into the bush as I did. However, it is essential to take some time away from any distractions and spend quality time alone with the Lord.

God has a specific assignment for you here on earth, which is why He created you uniquely with various giftings and experiences. If we never communicate with God or if we only communicate with Him randomly, haphazardly, or in a hurry, how will we know what this specific assignment is? And additionally, how will we understand the way in which the Lord wants us to outwork this?

The key is to have a strong intimacy with the Lord. He is the most important advisor in a Godly business. By prioritizing Him, you start to become saturated with the presence of the Lord and will then gain the confidence to take on Babylon, which is the ultimate enemy and the counterculture of the kingdom of God in the marketplace.

Christians in business will naturally attract a lot of adversity from this Babylonian enemy, especially if you are being effective for the kingdom of God. But I find after spending time in prayer with the Lord for a whole day, I am confident that I can overcome this adversity because I have confirmation that I am working in line with God's will.

Here is a 5-minute-long interview that I did with David Leslie, one of the key lecturers at our ministry, Kingdom Investors. He talks about why he started to take pray days and how increasing his intimacy with the Lord has impacted and benefited both his personal life and businesses significantly:
