Win! 5 Day Devotional for Your Victory!Sample
Don't Look Back, Run!
When I used to run track, my coaches would always say, "Don't look back!"
It was so hard to run in those days and not look back. As I would get to the end of my race, which was the 400-meter or the 800-meter, not looking back to see where my opponents were was so hard that it took a concerted effort to keep my focus forward. Even though I was winning, I had the desire to look back to see where my opponents were and how close they were! What this does for the one who is winning the race can mean the difference in winning and losing.
Looking back slows me down and takes my focus off of the target. If my opponent, or "enemy" is close enough to put panic in my heart, I could lose what would have been mine, if I had kept my focus. Looking back also lets my enemy know that I am concerned and even worried that he may gain on me and may have gotten "into my head" at some point.
We all knew that looking back or around at what the other competitors were doing or trying to figure out where they were would slow us down. Looking back would cause you to lose focus on not just completing the race, but winning it and possibly beating your last time.
Paul said that "only one who runs in a race receives the prize....."
Remember this: Jesus has already won the race for you. All you have to do is hold on to your baton and keep your eyes on the finish line. The enemy will whisper temptations and doubts in your ears. Friends and family may tell you to give up or to take another route, to even throw down that baton and take your eyes off of the prize. But, PRESS ON to the end.
Don't look back! Run the race that is set before you!
You are winning! YOU ARE WINNING!
Get focused... stay focused...stop looking around and run the race that God has set before YOU.

About this Plan
They say winning is a choice. Because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ and Him taking on sin and death for us, we win! Sometimes the going gets tough and it's hard to remember that we are victors. Today as you begin my reading plan, I believe that you will finish it remembering that you've already won!
