Biblical Basics for InvestorsSample
Renewing My Mind
First Corinthians 10:31 is something that should come to mind, whether we're on our way to work or at home with the family or wherever.
And whatever you do, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all for the glory of God.
Everything we do, literally everything we do needs to be done, must be done, is commanded to be done with Biblical kingdom impact in mind, with God's glory at the center of our intentions as well as our actions that derive from and are powered by God's grace and the Holy Spirit.
It's so easy to go through the day and not really be intentional about glorifying God. Really, everything we do should require us to lean on him to help us. It says, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do. If I eat my oatmeal for breakfast this morning to the glory of God, certainly I should be able to manage his assets. That's his money we're talking about. It's my job to use it according to his value for his glory, for our joy.
That applies to every area of life—how we raise our kids, treat our spouses, drive our cars, all of it. These moments are chances to ask if we are conformed to the pattern in this world or If we've really been transformed by the renewing of our minds so we can test and approve what the will of God is.
Of course, we need the Lord's grace to help us with that. Thankfully, his grace has no bottom and no end.
