Rekindle the Romance: Date Your Spouse

DAY 3 OF 5

Went on a Date and Guess What I Found?

I went on a date last night with my spouse and was surprised by what I found. We had not been on a date in a while. You know, the usual excuses—kids, work, tired. We finally got one on the calendar and vowed to make it work. I was amazed by what I found.

I found I really like my spouse. I mean, I married a genuinely unique and wonderful person, a pleasure to be around! We laughed and enjoyed each other’s company like we hadn’t in years. Dating allows couples to remember why they dated each other in the first place!

I found I really love my spouse. So many of us think that love is a feeling. Actually, love is an action. Dating is love in action. Dating will rekindle the desire to do something for your spouse just because . . . no agendas, no hoping for later, but doing something for your spouse just because.

I found I really want to grow old with my spouse. Growing old is not for the faint of heart! There is no one on earth I would rather be with, laugh with, and cry with as we grow old together.
