Ebenezer

DAY 4 OF 4

PROMISES

God not only saved the Israelites from the hands of the Philistines in that battle but all throughout Samuel's life. The prophet cried out and his Lord heard him. Reminding all that God does is always wonderful, having testimonies to share is precious, but we need to remember that the same God as yesterday, is today and will be tomorrow. God’s work doesn’t stop in the past. Remembering what He did is a way of not forgetting the character of the God we serve.

He who started the good work will continue to do so. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us. When we love Him, everything cooperates for our good. Regardless of the afflictions of this world, in Him we have peace. By living his word, we achieve victory. No matter how much time passes, He will always be with us. When we are tired, He relieves us. In the little, He is the one who makes it overflow. We are undeserving of his promises, but, out of love, God never forgets us. Therefore, we can never forget Him.

May we never lose hope, but keep the faith in the promises of our God. Even though we don't know what tomorrow will look like in our lives, we can be sure that with God, it will always be better. Never think that you have lived all the plans of God in your life. Every day everything becomes new when we are in His presence. Smile at the future!

The greatest promise we received was our salvation. In it, we need to stand firm every day. May we be grateful for yesterday, may our hearts be always in today and our hope in tomorrow. Let us make the Lord's promises our greatest treasure and live life always ready to experience the best God has in store for us. Amen.
