Fix Your Focus

Psalm 77:13

God, Your ways are holy. No god is as great as our God.

When you panic, you cannot really think clearly. Even worse, you might say hurtful words, make wrong decisions, or take incorrect actions. When your heart is hurting, all you can think about is the causes of the pain and the hurtful memories that cause your tears. You find no comfort or joy. When you only focus on your pain, your mind will be governed by the hurtful feeling. All the negative thoughts will easily attack you. 

If you are in a miserable state right now, please remember this simple fact. There is Someone who loves you so much that He was willing to die on the cross so that you’ll be forgiven for all your sins. There is no greater love than this.

Fix your focus! Let’s increase your focus on God and not on your problems. Let us do what the Psalmist wrote in these verses: 1) Cry out to God for help, 2) Seek God, 3) Praise God for His greatness.

Prayer

Dear God, thank You for Your great love to me and give me wisdom to always fix my eyes and heart on You. Give me greater faith in You. Amen.
