Day 2: Knowing that your strength lies in the joy of the Lord

A dear friend of mine taught me that a mother is the glue of the household and that she cannot afford to become unstuck. Unfortunately, as mothers, we tend to give so much of ourselves that we end up feeling exhausted. Overwhelming fatigue can trap you in a pit of despair, depression and emotional apathy. 

Joy is the antidote for emotional overload; therefore, ask the Lord for an extra dose of joy before you start your day. Joy is the overflow of His presence in your life. The more you soak up His presence, the more you are infused with joy. Nehemiah 8:10b … and do not be worried, for the joy of the Lord is my strength. 

As you face your day with the Joy of the Lord as your constant companion, you are plugged into the ultimate SOURCE OF STRENGTH. His strength will equip you to stand in victory as you face any challenge that might come your way. 

Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in Him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope! – Romans 15:13 TPT
