Make or Break

DAY 7 OF 7

It's Make or Break

How many times have you heard someone say this?

The one exam, the last shot, the penalty kick . . . this will make or break the game, your career, your life!

Ok . . . let's cut the dramatics.

No ONE decision is enough to make or break your life. God's plans for who you are and who He created you to be can't be put on hold by one decision.

On the flip side, where one decision can't stop you, it's the small moments and decisions that will make or break you and the direction you are going in life.

You can be one degree off, but keep walking that way, and you will be very far away. Every decision will either build you up or cut you down.

Having the mind set of "this doesn't matter" or "this won't impact me" or even "this doesn't count" is not true!

God has given us every day, and every day we can make the decision to build ourselves closer to Jesus and the plans He has for us, or we can make decisions that will distance ourselves from Jesus.

A great way to look at your decisions whether it's for friends, family, school, work, faith isn't in terms of "is this a GOOD or BAD decision."

If we knew something was going to be bad for us, we would never sin! But emotions—errors of judgement—is always a thing in the moment. And if we think that something isn't outright "BAD," then it must be good.

If you want to keep building your faith and life towards Jesus, ask this: "is this a wise decision for who I want to be and where I want to go?"

Joining in on the gossip might be harmless fun, but it's an unwise decision if you want to be seen as a trustworthy person.

Dating that guy or girl from school might not be BAD, but it isn't wise if you haven't built up a friendship as a foundation first!

Ditching youth or Church once or twice isn't necessarily bad, but it's not wise if you want to keep building your life with Christ.

Make decisions that will build you up, decisions that will make your life one that people can look at and see Jesus.

His grace is too good and love too powerful for one moment to take you out, but it's the small, every day decisions that WE make that determine the direction we are going.

Follow Jesus, and you will always make a difference.

Day 6

About this Plan

Make or Break

Our relationships are one decision away from  sinking or swimming. Every decision we make can break or make the relationships that we have with people and with God. How can we strengthen the relationships we have and be someone who people want to get to know.
