Do Something—High School

DAY 12 OF 28

The book of Job in the Bible is one of those books we don’t typically spend a lot of time in. It can be confusing and depressing. In Job, we read about a man whose whole life falls apart. He loses everything—his family, his land, his money. He has nothing left. Worst of all, the friends don’t exactly do a great job of being the kind of friends you want to have around in a tough season. Which is what makes what Job says here so important. In all that went wrong in his life, Job continued to see God as He really was, and not just what his experiences could have made him think about God. In other words, Job was able to praise God when life was good, but even more amazing, when he experienced so many difficult things, Job was still able to say that God—even there—can bring light.

Today, no matter how dark circumstances are in your life or the world around you, remember, God brings light. And one of the ways He does it is by using us. Look for a way to bring light to someone today.

About this Plan

Do Something—High School

Have you ever seen something in the world around you and thought, “Someone should do something!” Whether it was a kid being bullied at school, children in other countries without enough to eat, or someone in your neighborhood being judged by the color of their skin, what you’re seeing is injustice. We’re going to discover how much Jesus cares about injustice and how we can do something in response.
