You Are Loved

DAY 2 OF 4

There’s Always More

No matter how much you know that God loves you, there’s always more to know. You’ll never plumb the depths of His love for you.

When I was 37 years old, my husband passed away very suddenly. Now, at the time I was a Christian. I loved God. I preached the gospel. But it wasn’t until after he died and I pressed into God like never before that I fell completely in love with God. The more time I spent with Him, the more I loved Him. And I began to understand that He has this kind of love for all of His children.

Each believer is at a different level of understanding His love. You might feel completely loved by Him, and that is good. But He loves you even more!

On the other hand, you might not be at all sure of God’s love. Everywhere I go, I meet Christians who don’t know for sure how He feels about them personally.

Maybe you’re uncertain about God’s love. Maybe you weren’t well-loved growing up. Maybe people have told you, “I love you", and then betrayed you. Maybe you’ve been treated badly, and instead of understanding love, your life has been based on suspicion and pain. I understand. But that isn’t how God wants you to live.

One time when I was preaching a message about how much God loves us, a woman came up to me after the service. She told me that she had a PhD in religion and knew a lot about God and the Bible, but she had never fully believed the concept that God actually loved her. She said, “I’ve never really grasped the ‘love thing.’”

I wanted to cry out, “But that’s the thing! It’s what the whole gospel is based on!”

How can you be a bearer of the message of God’s love if you aren’t sure of it yourself? How can you “walk in love”, as the Bible instructs (Ephesians 5:2), when you aren’t sure of the love that He has toward you? I promise, it’s easier to love others when you know how much you’re loved.

And there’s always more of His love for you to discover.

Day 1Day 3

About this Plan

You Are Loved

You’ve probably heard someone say “God loves you.” Maybe you’ve even told people that. But too many Christians aren’t absolutely sure about God’s great love for them. Let this four day plan increase your capacity to receive God’s amazing love for you and open your heart to all the possibilities of being loved by the Creator of the Universe. It’s a love that changes your life!
