Real Hope: Walking in Wisdom

DAY 3 OF 5

I've Hit a Crossroads

Have you ever hit a crossroad in your life and been unsure which way to go? A crossroad is a place of decision that will affect the course of your life. North, south, east, or west—which course will you choose? The choice is up to you. Just because a certain path or course of action seems right doesn’t guarantee it is right. And just because another path may seem unpleasant or contrary to what we would think is best does not mean it is wrong. I know from my own life that sometimes the way forward is going sideways, or backwards!

The Bible says, “All the paths of the Lord are lovingkindness and goodness and truth and faithfulness to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies” (Psalm 25:10 AMP).

So, when you face a crossroad in life, take time to share with God the dilemma, then wait until you have peace to move in a direction and trust Him. Sometimes life circumstances cause us to face crossroads with confusion. Don’t be afraid to seek counsel from those who have answers. You can rest assured that God knows the end from the beginning, and He will lead you in the way that is best for you.

The Bible tells us in Proverbs to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take” (Prov 3:5,6, NLT).

If you make the decision to trust God—no matter what you may see, think, or feel—when you stand at a crossroad in your life, you will be able to hear the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit say in your heart, “This is the way; walk in it.”

About this Plan

Real Hope: Walking in Wisdom

All too often we try to navigate this world in our own strength and sometimes it's good to remember that God has left us some help along the way in the form of His Word. This plan is a reminder that when we don't have the answers, God does and we need to learn to trust in Him and His Word to keep us on the right path.
