Walk Through The Bible 365 - January

DAY 4 OF 31

Handling Temptation

Eve, in the Garden of Eden, was deceived by Satan and believed his lies rather than the Word of God. But when Jesus was tempted after his baptism, his basis for rejecting Satan's temptations was the Word of God. For each of the temptations, Jesus' response was, 'It is written.' We too need to believe and trust in God's Word and then obey His Word rather than fall to the lies of worldly thinking and satanic deceptions. This will enable us to live meaningful and victorious lives.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the written Word and that you reveal to us the way to live through your Word. We pray that we will read, study, meditate and hide your Word in our hearts so that we live the abundant and victorious lives that you have called us for. In Jesus' name. Amen.

"How do we feed ourselves with the Word of God? By reading through the Bible. But how do we grasp all the Bible has to offer in an easy and enjoyable way? This reading plan spans one year with daily bite-sized chunks of devotions and scripture to help you stay focused, at a comfortable pace and without overwhelming yourself. As you begin your walk through the bible, you’ll start to hear, read, study, memorize, meditate, and apply God's word in your life."
