The Virtuous Woman

DAY 3 OF 7

Beware Of The Anti-Values Woman!

There are still other anti-values women; looking at them can clarify what may be keeping you from growing in Christ.

The Machiavellian Mom: She is like the malignant and macabre mom. They lead their children to do evil. They do not care how their children get what they want. To them, the end justifies the means. Anything is allowed to get what they want. We can find many examples of Machiavellian moms in the Scriptures, like Athaliah, the mother of King Ahaziah. She helped her son get what he wanted, no matter the cost. This cannot happen in the home of a woman who calls herself the daughter of God, who knows her purpose and uses her life to follow a different design, which is to live under God’s wisdom.

The Bossy Mom: She is the overprotective mom. She prevents her children from growing. Such mothers are so overprotective that they keep their children from achieving things. Even when their children are older, grownups now, they still talk to them: “Aw, what do you need, honey?” They keep them from being accountable. They end up destroying their children and their growing potential; their offspring grow up to be reckless, useless, with no potential. By wanting to protect them, they end up hurting them.

The Backbiter Mom: She is the type of woman who says things contrary to the purpose of God. When you say negative things about your children, you scar them for life. What comes out of our mouth is very powerful; that is why we need to understand the power of our words. A mother should never curse her children. She should proclaim God’s purpose over their lives, speak what God speaks. When she does the opposite, maybe because it is what she was taught—to speak negative things—she is cursing them with her words. She is spiritually damaging their lives.

The Smelly Mom: She is the filthy mom, the disheveled mom. As children of God, we should always be clean in everything we do. It is a Kingdom value. It has to shine through everything we do: the way we speak, the way we do things. Clutter and filth cannot be an expression of mothers raising a home. Everything a mother does sends a message to her children.

Reflect

Are you honestly wrong? If so, identify which anti–value is part of your life and let go of it.

The case is settled; the decision is yours. Here you are going to find a practical guide to identify what type of woman you are. Enjoy this study from a modern-day perspective.
