Devotional Day 2 - More Than Talk

What did Jesus mean when He said branches that don’t produce fruit will be cut off? Let’s be honest—it sounds a little harsh and drastic. You can have a Bible verse in your Instagram bio and watch church online, but not be a branch truly connected to the true vine. There are many people who claim to be Christian who aren’t really connected to Jesus. We can sing songs about Jesus, but not really believe the message they proclaim. We can read the Bible, but never allow God to change us. 

Being a follower of Jesus requires more than just talk. Don’t just talk the talk, walk the walk. Being a follower of Jesus means that your life will be fruitful (more to come on this later this week). Are you really connected to Jesus or are you just going through the motions?
